I started my law firm to help people who have been seriously injured and families who have lost a loved one due to the negligence of others.
My philosophy is simple:
- Take cases that I strongly believe in.
- Commit my firm’s full time and resources to each case.
- Prepare every case for trial.
- Don’t accept anything less than full and fair justice for my clients.
I also understand that clients come to me at a stressful and emotional time in their lives. My goal is not only to obtain justice for you, but to make the process as worry-free as possible. I will keep you updated on the status of your case, return your phone calls and emails in a timely manner and educate you on each step of the legal process so that you feel confident making decisions about your case.
Recognized As One of Georgia’s Best
I’ve been honored by other Georgia lawyers as one of the state’s best lawyers and was named to the Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars list in 2012 through 2016. Only 2.5% of the lawyers in Georgia are selected for this honor. I also have a perfect 10.0 rating on attorney rating website Avvo.
But more important to me than these honors are the results I’ve won for my clients and what they have to say about my representation.
Former Lawyer for Insurance Companies
Before I began representing people and families in personal injury and wrongful death cases, I worked for one of Georgia’s largest defense firms. I defended insurance companies and Fortune 500 companies in personal injury and wrongful death cases. I defended hundreds of cases and argued and won cases at the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. This gave me a “behind the curtain” look into how defense lawyers and insurance companies value and defend cases and helps me ensure that my clients receive the best possible results for their case
My wife Sarah and I have a son, Hugh, and a dog, Bodey. We live in the Lake Claire neighborhood of Atlanta and spend most of our free time chasing after Hugh, who spends most of his time chasing after Bodey. When Bodey’s not napping he spends most of his time eating the food that Hugh drops on the floor, which is a lot.
I grew up in Athens, Georgia and attended college and law school at the University of Georgia. When I’m not busy with my family or work, I’m at Sanford Stadium watching Georgia football, going to concerts and listening to music, especially my favorite band the Drive-By Truckers, watching and listening to true crime dramas like Serial, Making a Murderer and The Jinx, reading, traveling, running and attempting to play the banjo.
